Summer 2002 - Vertebrae Lodge Construction

In the summer of 2002, Vertebrae Lodge was constructed in less than six months. This mountain lodge provides over 9200 sq ft. of living space for Chatter Creek's cat skiing guests. The lodge was designed and constructed by the Chatter Creek owners and their staff, mostly friends and acqaintances from nearby Golden BC. There was almost no prior log-building experience among them, although the owners are seasoned loggers.
